Do I need to book the Terrarium Bar?
No, walk-ins are welcome and there’s no need to book. The Terrarium Bar is standing room and fits about five adults or about six children at a time.
How much does it cost to make a terrarium at the Terrarium Bar?
That’s really up to you! The cheapest terrarium comes in at around $20 and the average spend is $50 per person. Terrarium vessels start at $10, base materials are $4 to $10 and plants are $8.50 each, so the size and number of plants make the difference.
How long does it take?
Most people take about 30 minutes to an hour. There’s no rush, so take your time.
What age is it good for?
We welcome all ages, young and old! The bar can be a bit high for very young children, even with a stepping stool. As such, we do ask that under 6s are supervised and helped by their adult at all times.
Is there parking?
There’s limited street parking out the front of the shop. There’s a large car park behind the Port Noarlunga Arts Centre and more on-street parking in the surrounding streets.
Do you do gift vouchers?
Yes, in any amount, bought in store or online. They can be used on workshops, in store and at the Terrarium Bar, and are valid for 3 years from purchase. Please note that a ClassBento gift voucher can only be used for workshops.
Can I book a birthday party?
Yes! Our birthday parties are for 6 to 14 children and go for about an hour. They’re $35 to $59 per child depending on the option you choose (see our flier for the options). Email [email protected] with your preferred dates and we’ll check availability.
Can I book a private workshop?
Yes, we’d love to host your group. Private workshops need at least 6 people and can fit up to 12 adults or 14 children. Email us with which of our workshops you have in mind and your preferred dates.
Do you ship plants and bugs interstate?
Yes, to most of Australia. Due to quarantine laws we can’t send live plants or bugs to Tasmania, the Northern Territory or Western Australia.
Do you deliver?
We deliver anything that can be ordered through our online store. If you’ve seen something in store, email [email protected] or call 0405 109 685 and we’ll do our best to help. We don’t deliver ready-made terrariums, but most can be sent in kit form.
What are your opening hours?
Tuesday 11am to 3pm, Wednesday to Saturday 10am to 4pm and Sunday 11am to 3pm. We’re closed on Mondays.
