Where we deliver and why
We send our products around Australia only. Botanista delivers products Australia wide. Live plants can be shipped to metro Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Canberra as well as regional areas. Live plants are shipped MONDAYS & TUESDAYS only. Please allow an extra two to three for delivery to regional areas (see below for important information regarding regional areas).
Due to quarantine restrictions, Botanista cannot deliver plants or products containing soil to Tasmania, WA or NT. For quarantine purposes soil is classed as a dangerous good and is restricted in these parts of Australia.
General Delivery Information
Orders containing LIVE PLANTS are sent Mondays and Tuesdays only. This is to avoid plants potentially spending an extra two days over the weekend in transit. Non-plant orders are sent every weekday except Fridays. Please note that we do not deliver on weekends. Orders are picked and packed as quickly as possible.
We use both Australia Post and third-party couriers for deliveries. Our standard courier deliveries are marked with authority to leave. If you have instructions for a safe place to leave your parcel, please let us know and these instructions will be passed on to the courier. If you require a sign on delivery courier service this is available at checkout for an extra cost.
If a calling card is left, we recommend retrieving your parcel as soon as possible to avoid plants being kept over the weekend at the Post Office or courier depot. Once your order has been booked for dispatch you will receive an email with a tracking number so that you know where your order is at every stage of the delivery process. We cannot guarantee delivery dates as our couriers are a third party service.
Please note that cancellations of delivery will not be accepted once your order has been dispatched. If your order has been booked with our couriers but has not been picked up, we can refund to you the cost of your product order, minus the courier fee. It is very important to keep track of your order; if delivery is ‘carded’ to a Post Office or redirected to a depot and orders are not collected in a timely manner we cannot be held responsible for sick or dead plants.
Approximate Delivery Times
Metro Adelaide – generally next day after order is dispatched
Fleurieu Peninsula – generally next day after order is dispatched
Other Regional South Australian areas – 2-3 days after order is dispatched
Metro Melbourne and Sydney – 2-3 days after order is dispatched
Metro Brisbane and Canberra – 4-5 days after order is dispatched
Regional Interstate Areas can vary greatly from 3-7 days delivery. Please contact us for approximate duration if you are unsure.
Important: We are unable to guarantee delivery dates. Our couriers are a third-party service – delivery durations are always approximate we cannot be responsible for failing to meet estimated delivery times.
Regional and remote areas
Some regional and remote areas are not subject to door to door courier service. In these cases the courier will usually leave the parcel at the central post office or local general store for pick up. If your order contains live plants it is important that your order is collected as soon as possible, as local mail runs may be sporadic. If delivery is made and your order is collected in a timely manner we cannot be held responsible for sick or dead plants.
Local Pick Up
Local pick up is available from our bricks and mortar store, BOTANISTA, shop 1, 18 Gawler St, Port Noarlunga.
HOW TO: on the checkout page, make sure that the ‘ship to another address’ box is unchecked. Type your postcode into the Billing Information and our system will recognise a South Australian postcode, making the Pick Up option available.
While we cannot send our products internationally, we welcome orders from international customers for deliveries within Australia (please remember plants cannot be sent to WA, Northern Territory or Tasmania). Our store system excludes international postcodes in order to block deliveries overseas, so we invite you to either: email your order to us and we will send you a Paypal invoice for payment, or you may use the dummy postcode 5000 in your billing address when placing your order in our online store.
Packaging with care
All of our orders are packaged to ensure safe, intact delivery without spills. Your order is packed with the utmost care to ensure protection during delivery. We have been shipping plants and fragile products since 2014, and will always make good on the rare occasion where breakages or damage has occured.
